This park is ideal for those who are seeking an authentic southern circuit safari experience, away from the crowds of the northern circuit. Selous Game Reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, wildebeests, lions, hyenas, elephants, and even the elusive black rhinos in Rufiji River.
Day 1: Pick-Up and Transfer to Selous National Reserve for a Game Drive
Your adventure begins with a 6:00 AM pick-up from your Hotel in Zanzibar, followed by a flight to Selous Game Reserve, the flight takes 50 minutes. You’ll arrive at Selous around 7:00 AM and embark on a full-day game drive, complete with a boxed lunch. In the evening, enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge.
Day 2: Boat Trip, Walking Safari, and Return to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a thrilling boat safari. Later, you’ll have lunch at the lodge and set out on a 2-hour walking safari. At 4:00 PM, it’s time to depart for Zanzibar, arriving at 5:30 PM. Our driver will be waiting to pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
