DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Upon arrival in Arusha, meet your professional safari guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy an exciting game drive among ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds, with opportunities to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions and other wildlife. In the evening, proceed to your mid-range lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel towards the legendary Serengeti National Park through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way and an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah plains. Look out for lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and other fascinating animals. Dinner and overnight at a mid-range lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Safari
Spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the Big Five and other wildlife while enjoying the magnificent scenery of this world-famous park. Depending on the season and location of the herds, you may also encounter the Great Wildebeest Migration. Dinner and overnight at your mid-range accommodation in Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive or continue wildlife viewing as you travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Take in the spectacular landscapes and enjoy opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Arrive at your mid-range lodge or tented camp in the Ngorongoro or Karatu area for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater is home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha for your overnight stay or preparation for the AFCON experience.
Day 6: AFCON 2027 Football Experience
Enjoy a special day celebrating the excitement of African football during AFCON 2027. Depending on the official match schedule and venue, transfer to the relevant host city or stadium to experience the atmosphere, cheer for your favourite team and share the excitement with football fans from across Africa. After the match, transfer to your agreed hotel or departure point.
The match date and venue must be confirmed before the final itinerary is issued. The order of the safari, football experience and flights may be adjusted to match the confirmed fixture.
Day 7: Fly to Zanzibar – Beach Relaxation
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, meet your transfer driver and continue to your mid-range beach hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beautiful beaches, enjoying the ocean views or exploring the hotel facilities. Overnight in Zanzibar.
Day 8: Discover Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast before a day at leisure or choose an optional island excursion. You may explore historic Stone Town, visit a spice farm, enjoy a traditional dhow cruise or discover the island’s beautiful beaches. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Zanzibar – Departure
Enjoy breakfast and some final relaxation by the beach, depending on your flight schedule. Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your onward journey, bringing your memorable Tanzania safari, AFCON and beach holiday to an end.
